I just installed VB6 on a different computer. I am trying to update
applications that I developed on my first computer. Whenever I click

on "view objects" I get the message that the program must close. I am
running windows xp home SP1 on both computers. Any help? Thank you

Do you mean 'object' from the 'view' menu - ie show the
form?

Do you have any third party controls used on that form?

What OS do you have on the new computer?

Yes, it happens when I click the icon to view the controls on a form. I
do not have any third party controls. The problem happens on several
different applications. I am using Windows XP home edition with SP1.

So I guess the project loads OK, so review the references
list and also the components list.

What happens if you try to run the project?

I created a new project. Added a label and a textbox and saved it. I
reopened it and the program crashed when I tried to view the objects on
the form.
